Whether you're working with high-polar solvent systems in paint and printing oils or medium-high polar solvent systems like xylene, butyl acetate, and cyclohexanone, 801-D promises exceptional performance. In low-polar solvents with 200# solvent oil and white oil aliphatic hydrocarbons, simply add a polar activator (95% ethanol, 30-40% of the organoclay weight) for optimal dispersion. Resembling Bentone-SD1, our additive stands out for its effortless self-activation in medium-high polar solvents.

The versatile 801-D rheological additive is your ultimate solution for a wide range of applications. Ideal for antiseptic paints, printing oils, boat paints, industrial decorative coatings, car primer coats, and sealing materials, 801-D offers broad-spectrum rheological control and superior performance across diverse environments.

Usage:
For seamless integration, add the 801-D Rheological Additive directly during the grinding phase of your product formulation. Under the high shearing force of grinding or whipping, the additive will fully disperse and activate, ensuring optimal pigment distribution. Follow these steps for best results:
1. Incorporate resin/solvent.
2. Introduce the 801-D additive and whip at high speed for 10-20 minutes.
3. In the case of low-polar solvents (200# solvent oil and white oil aliphatic hydrocarbons), add a polar activator such as 95% ethanol (30-40% of organoclay weight) and whip at high speed for 10-20 minutes. For medium-high polar solvents like xylene and xylene-butyl acetate, self-activation occurs without the need for an activator.
4. Add wetting agents and pigments, then grind and disperse using techniques such as whipping, ball-milling, or sanding until the desired fineness is reached.
5. Introduce the remaining ingredients and continue dispersing until the mixture is homogeneous.

Dosage
The ideal dosage of 801-D Rheological Additive in paint formulations is influenced by the required thickening effect, rheological performance, and pigment precipitation levels. Generally, a dosage range of 0.5-1.5% of the total paint quantity is recommended. Typically, it requires less quantity compared to standard organoclays, making it a cost-effective choice without compromising on performance.
